Washington DC Green Festival Planned for Oct 2009

Returning for it’s sixth season, the Washington DC Green Festival will be back celebrating the environment and all that is a part of a healthy green lifestyle.

Last year’s guest speakers included global visionaries such as William McDonough, Barbara Ehrenreich, Majora Carter, John Perkins, Amy Goodman, Lester Brown, Caroline Casey, and this year promises to offer the same high quality guests.
Among the lineup are Amy Goodman, Dr. Cornel West, Dolores Huerta, green superstar and actor Ed Begly, Jr. and Lester Brown.

Lear about the latest in clean technology, green building, socially responsible investing, eco-fashion, renewable energy, green careers/green collar jobs, natural foods, groundbreaking films, eco-tourism and more.
workshops, speakers and panelists will cover topics both local and international in scope.

As in years past, the green festival is a joint project of Global Exchange and Co-op America, two leading nonprofit organizations for more than twenty-five years.
